My apologies if this has been answered somewhere, but I had been searching for it but couldnt find the answer.



If while playing Automatons, I had a Planet with (say) 100 Industry output and left it idle for 5 turns, and accumulated the ~530 or so "stockpile", if I then hit IND-SCI, would it convert this to Science and give me 132 additional science output for that turn only? (530*.25)



Would it work to leave them idle for 4-5 turns, do 1 turn of IND-SCI to clear the accumulated backlog, then sit idle for 4-5 turns again?

Nope, while you are on Ind=>Sci or Ind=>Dust, the stack builds up slowly due to interest but isn't used for the conversion.

Well, did a little testing yesterday.



Noted down all the Industry, Science Rates, stored resource and current research, hit the IND-SCI button and..........All the stored production stays stored.

So while you can switch to IND-SCI, you can still have 5 turns of stacked production ready for the next time you actually want to build something.
