You can open the Savegame with 7zip, search for the "SteamID" entry, change a number there, save your changes, load the savegame and it will allow you to continue playing as any of the AIs. This way you can see their tech-tree.

If I remember correctly, the game used to ask you which one of the players you wanted to continue playing as. Sorry, just a bit of nostalgia lol
