is it free ? is it a glorified DLC or a full on EXP set ? price point ? also should i wait until it is released before i start playing seriously ?

Unlike the four add-ons we released in the past, this expansion pack will not be free. We have not announced any price or date yet, but we'll make sure to publish the news on all of our networks when we are ready for it.



As for the content, it will most likely focus on combat.

It is probably going to be card based with some extensions. Just have a look at one of the already published design documents: /#/endless-space/forum/29-archives/thread/13127-exp-overview

Formations and targeting are mentioned.

Is everything from the list expansion only? Because I see some things that I think should be directly in the game without paying for them.

(the change of the algorithm, rally point, battle report)

They'll probably put it all in the expansion so it wouldn't be too bare. The algorithm will probably support their combat focused changes as well which would make sense to add it then.

I have no problem with buying the expansion, and I will buy. But it gives me the impression that the original game will be less polished than it's expansion.



I'm really hoping for an update that fixes stuff the community asked for, without the need to but additional features from the expansion.
