Location of Mac save files, OS X

An earlier post in the forum said that, for outside the Cloud, the save files for OS X was located in "User Library/Application Support/Endless Space/Save/"

However, that is no longer the case. It is quite difficult to find the save files for Endless Space.

I would like to be able to relocate these files under new folders for re-playability, and so I don't have to pick and hunt among a huge set of save files for a variety of races, or multiple games under the same race.

So, I would be grateful if I could be told where these save files are stored. Or, even better, if they can be stored in an obvious place, like Documents/Amplitude/Endless Space/Save

(PS: There could be issues for the multiplayer saves. If so, then I hope that at least the single-player files could be saved in an obvious place. I haven't heard of any such multiplayer issues for Civ 5, though...)

Thank you Penguain!

*Editors: please mark this thread as "ANSWERED". I can't figure out how to do that myself, so I hope you don't mind giving me a hand on this.

Finding that library was a pain, though. I set the Mac to show hidden files, and it didn't show the Endless Space or the Steam files.

I went over all the libraries I could find, as well as the User one: no dice.

In the end,I got the game running, and when I say the Endless Space icon on the Dock, and clicked on the "Show in Finder"

THAT showed me where

* Endless Space was running (in .../common)

* the Steam directory is (in .../Application Support)

* where Endless Space keeps the Save files (in .../Application Support, as you mentioned)

I am not sure why the directory kept on disappearing from view. It may be related to the fact that the program won't quit properly. It always hangs, and I always have to use the Force Quit option in the Activity Manager to kill the program.

Still, I had to do that just now, and THIS TIME the Endless Space and Steam directories are staying put.

Anyways, thank you again penguain! smiley: cool
