I've been creating an entire fleet with just the Siege Module and no matter how high their Invasion Power is, I can't get it down below 10 turns. Is there any way to take over these systems any faster? Should I try modules that help remove population?

There is a 10 turn minimum for sieges. You can use special troop modules to take a system instantly but it isn't always guaranteed and it can damage population and improvements.

Oh, two more questions. What's the minimum number of Siege Modules do we need to achieve 10 turns? And what's the difference between Numerous and Troopers Invasion Modules? They look exactly the same:

Numerous:................................................Troopers:

The number of siege modules varies, what is important is the invasion power. I'm sure there is a formula somewhere for this but let me just use some numbers I made up.

System A has 100 defense. You will need (this isn't accurate I'm just giving you an idea) 2500 invasion to siege in 10 turns. This can come from siege modules or even fighters, bombers, and troops (you can use troops for invasion power without actually "invading" the system). If the system buys some defense upgrades and goes up to 500 defense, you might need 10000 invasion power (random number again).

As far as the types of troops, I believe the early versions of troops only have 2 options and as you said numerous is just like troopers. Later tiers I believe have different stats for all 3 options. That being said, elite is 9/10 times the better options. They only take 1 slot instead of have better stats, and the industry cost is not much more at all.

Numinous makes it so that when you win an invasion you end up with more population in the system, namely 2 instead of just the one.

If you are having trouble with invading with troops, you could use bombs to try and weaken the system's defenses to raise the chances on a successful invasion.

I didn't know that about numerous. Elite is still the best by far right now though. Maybe is numerous was bumped up to 3 or so?

The numerous takes 2 pop and the other one only takes one ,although you do get the extra pop on the world you invade.

As to how many you need ,that will depend on the defense of said system.
