As I understand it, a level one PE gives +1 FIDS edit: per population to that planet, then a +1 FIDS per population bonus if that planet is a specific type.



I used the Evolved Soils PE on a population 4/7 terran planet and mousing over the food for that planet, I'm only seeing +2 food from infrastructure. Shouldn't it be 1 base edit: per population+4 from the bonus per population totaling +̶5̶ edit:8 food from infrastructure?

Terran gives 4 food per pop. 4 pop is 16 food. The level one food PE gives +1 per pop on all planets and an extra +1 for Terran (and others). 4 pop making 2 extra food is 8. 16 + 8 = 24. Improvements will increase the bonus also. I'm not sure why it is divided up into categories but just pay attention to planet type and PE and you can figure the fids out as long as you take into account improvements.

The display is just strange; it shows the amount per population for each modifier and the "from population" makes up the rest of the total. In this case, you have +4 for Terran and +2 from the Exploitation per population for a total of 6 per population. Multiply by 4 population and you have 24 total; the difference of 18 is attributed "from population".

So the total is correct, I'm not sure how it's split up between the categories.



Since you said terran planets give 4 food per pop, shouldn't it say +16 from population instead of +18 (as seen in that screenshot)? And it should be +8 from the PE, which means infrastructure should be +8?

Ah, I see now. Yea, that is sort of confusing. Thanks for the help.
