The scout module. Do or don't?

The scout module seems incredibly heavy for its limited benefits. The increased sensor range has not been very useful to me yet and just not worth the tonnage.

The 5% weapon accuracy does not specify if that is for the ship or the fleet. Does anyone know if this affects the fleet? This may make it worthwhile having a scout module on 1 ship in the fleet. Anyone have some thoughts.

Last but not least I am thinking about designing a scout ship. It can be better armed and defended giving it better longevity (hence discovering more systems) rather than putting the heavy scout module on. Any thoughts?

Personally, I think the Sensors are garbage. You can't tell the exact composition of enemy fleets, nor can you know the particulars about enemy worlds. The accuracy just seems questionable at best. The engines are also no good for combat, as they don't really increase evasion. In terms of special modules, I would only gun for Power, Repair, and Tonnage modules. You can ditch the Repair module if you prefer replacing ships, and the same logic would also apply to the tonnage module. As I understand it, Power modules are cumulative.

I use them on scouts, but also on invasion ships. Since I tend to build invasion fleets on the back of my conquest, I want them to get to the front lines as quickly as possible.

Sensors aren't really that helpful, though. As for scout ships, you don't need weapons on them at all. Their job isn't to attack anything.

Reaction time is a big issue in my games so I heavily rely on engines to get my fleets around but I really hate em since they take so much tonnage. Later in the game its more of a non-issue as the passive research-bonuses make traveling time so much faster.

Sensors....I use em for my scouts of course and the accuracy bonus looks promising especially since Disharmony has such a heavy focus on it but not for the tonnage cost it currently has. A dreadnaught could mount dozens of weapon modules for the cost of a single scout module....no thanks.
