when are resources used for fleets?

quick question:



when is a ressource for fleet construction (in case the module requires a specific resource) used?



a) when doing the template only?

b) when building one ship and for each ship one more

c) just for the first ship, others are free

You are free to design with any researched module.



You are only allowed to build if you have the strategic resources for the modules being used in the design.



From the manual:



"Modules will be disabled (gray) if their weight exceeds the remaining tonnage capacity or, as in

this case, if the module requires access to a Strategic Resource. You can still create a Ship Design

with these modules, but you must have access to the Strategic Resource via colonization or Trade

to build ships based on that Ship Design."

That is correct. You just need at least one in the empire.

I recently had a bug affecting my matches where strategic resources where dropping in numbers and even going to the negative even tho I had open colonies which had the resource. Thats why I was thinking the same as wallenstein, by now I came to the conclusion that it must ve been a glitch and has been fixed in the meantime but its always nice to see a confirmation.
