Ship fitting guide?

I have uninstalled this game a few times...i might give it a try, but there is one thing that scares me: Ship modules/fitting and anything to do with ships. I feel like it is a barrier that i just cannot pass. I mean, not learn after some time, but really REALLY do not understand.





Is there any good videos on ship stuff? It would be much appreciated.

A) How to use the ship design/military window GUI?

B) Ship design strategies?

C) How to manage Ships?

Anything to do with ships really. Mostly designing ships. I should have been more specific, sorry.

PrinceCola, I see that you must be very confused regarding ship designing. So, I'll write about what I do with most of my ships.



In ALL of my ships I implement one of each defence module, so that my ships don't ever get overwhelmed for lack of defences against an especific type of weapon. Also, I normally don't put more defences in most ships to leave more tonnage for weapons or special modules, such as fighters or bombers.



Concerning the attacks modules, I usually implement only one type of the three possiblities in my ships, so that those are more efficient. For example, I seldom implement both missiles and kinetics in the same ship, but I may use them both in different ships in a same fleet, so that the fleet is stronger against most enemy fleets.



Finally, I don't recommend using support modules in small ships, because of the high tonnage required for those. And I don't usually use repair modules because I believe they are not worth their tonnage, mainly because of the engineering battle actions. Engines are also useless in battle fleets.



I hope you find those advices worthy. Remember that you are free to implement whatever you wish in your ships.
