Hi,



as a Pilgrim I have discovered the Efficent Shielding technology which should unlock the Vindicator ship class. However, I only see the same three ship models in the ship menu which I have since round one. How do I access the new ship design?

To the left of the 3 ship designs you see there should be an "Add+" button. Click that to create a new ship design. Hover over all the ship models on the new screen to find the new class you just unlocked. If the Vindicator is the first new class you've unlocked there will only be 3 classes on the design screen to choose from. Initially there is only 2 classes to choose from. The scout and defender both use the same class, so that initial screen with the colony, scout and defender designs is really only 2 classes, with 3 designs.

OK. I somehow overlooked this button and always went directly to the modification of existing designs.
