Hi!

I was wondering about turn sequence. I noticed this several times, and I am not sure how it is resolved.

Example: I have a fleet at a system, and an enemy fleet is close by, and going to reach the system in this turn. Sometimes, if I am quick enough, I am able to move my fleet away without an encounter; sometimes the AI fleet is moved first and en encounter happens.

This has been annoying me for some time now, is there no way of a proper turn sequence?

cheers,

Turns are taken simultaneously. Kind of. The AI turns are weird. I've seen the AI rush and move before I can do anything, but I've noticed that more often the AI moves when the host clicks the planned-movement arrow for his own ships. The other situation has come up too though, where the AI has delayed moving ships into a well defended system until after I click end-turn, presumably to prevent me from attacking him this turn.

If you ever have a fleet or a scout in a position where it may get attacked if you're not quick enough, do this: Give the fleet/ship orders to move off of the system before you end your turn. Then as soon as you hit end turn, be ready to immediately hit the move-fleet arrow.

The semi-simultaneous turns is actually one of the genius aspects of the game. No waiting for turns in multiplayer.
