Hi everyone,



so I just got the game and started up my first single player game to figure out how to do stuff. However I just faced a problem I just don't seem to understand. I tried to google it and look in the wiki but couln't find anything - so thats why I'm turning to you guys.



Here's my problem:

I started a new game with the United Empire. I do nothing and just move into the planet view of my Home planet. There I can see that the food production of the Planet is 17. If I hover over it, it says that its +8 from population and +4 cause of type. However 8 + 4 != 17. Also (from what I understand) my food production on a terran planet is 4 per population. Since I start with a population of 3 shouln't it be +12 from population instead of 8? However even if that would be the case it would still not add up to 17.

At this point I'm really confused - I hope someone can explain to me what I'm missing.

Hi there! 8+4 = 12 and then if you look on your improvements section it will have an outpost that you automatically get at the start in each system. It gives 5 food and 5 industry. 12 + 5 = 17! I hope this helps!
