Retreat Bug is not fixed. & Goodfy battles

sorry to say, Retreat Bug is not fixed. it constantly crashes on retreat on manual fight.

using MBP15 10.8 16Gb memory SSD, steam only, no files on machine

and ES 1.1.27 version

Also issue goofy battles ??

a few small ships(no attack value) defeating a large fleet of cravers DN ,see up load PICs

Is this possible because am at end-game and have capture/blockade most of their empire ?

Bug because no attack valuessmiley: confused

I have 3 battles like this, is this a bug ???

Seems to be reproducible.




early game i'd get that error but late game it's just a crash after the battles is done and tries to load back into the galaxy map. i did some testing last night and every single battle where a retreat card was played(me or AI) it would crash but if i gimped my fleets so the AI could win and not play the retreat cards there was no crash



to top it off that save also has the bug where it doesn't like to load so i ended up abandoning the game, hard to play when you can't load the save or have to auto resolve every battle

I seemed to be having this bug also however after asking steam to verify files (it found 2 missing) I have not had it since.

OS X 10.8.5, Disharmony v1.1.34

Seems fixed for me since v1.1.33. Though i played only 1 turn with 2 battles smiley: smile At first - AI retreats, second - me. No freezes.

The thread is a bit of a mess: OP mentions 1.1.27 on what I assume could be a Mac, in that case, we fixed the retreat bug (game freezing or crashing after an AI retreat) with the 1.1.33 version. However, for those who mention the issue on Windows, we would really appreciate it if you could give more details on your actual problem: OS/specs, logs (Steam > Steamapps > Common > Endless Space > Endless Space Data), game save (documents > Endless Space > Disharmony > Saves) and such, but also your current version (bottom left corner, in the game menu).

Mine doesn't always crash on a retreat, maybe 70% of retreats end up in a crash. smiley: mad

Running on Windows Vista

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.8GHz

Memory: 2046MB RAM

Hard Drive: 350 GB

Video Card: NVIDIA GEFORCE 210 (not sure if applicable, but just in case)

Log: ??? (Are you looking for output log?)

Save: AUTOSAVE 2006

Version: 1.1.34

Also a minor bug; Some ships that were destroyed will not show up as destroyed in manual fights (on the ship cards), instead they are substituted by another ship in the fleet that hasn't been destroyed, but will show up as destroyed on the cards. At the battle review window it will show which ships were really destroyed and which survived.



Best 10 dollars I ever spent on a game though. smiley: wink

just did that and found 4 missing but my game was only crashing late game when retreat cards are played and now i have the save game bug so can't test atm but i'll try to get a game going this weekend and report back
