Hallo,

ich habe folgendes Problem, wenn ich das spiel starten will kommt ein schwarzer bildschirm, meine maus kann ich ganz normal bewegen, der mauszeiger nimmt auch die endless space version an.

Links und rechts vom Bildschirm ist ein streifen der nicht geht mit der maus, ansonsten wars das. Kein Video, kein menü, nichts. Ich habe schon Visual C++ neu installiert und steam das spiel auf fehler überprüfen lassen, hat nichts gebracht. Neuinstallation auch keine änderung.

Both measures were in vain. Completely reinstalling the game also does not solve the problem.

@RyanLennox: Ich werde jeden Tag mal im thread vorbeischauen, ob was Neues zum Übersetzen da ist. Du kannst also jetzt durchgehend Deutsch schreiben. Es ist auf jeden Fall allemal besser als der Google-Übersetzer.

Ich muss da nur generell etwas um Geduld bitten, weil ich momentan eine siebenstündige Zeitverschiebung zu Deutschland habe.

Hey,

I'm having the exact same problem and the odd thing is: Endless Space was running before! I followed all the steps in the trouble shooting guide, but to no avail. The Screen is black, I can hear the Amplitude Studios sound and see the Endless Space mouse courser. After that nothing happens; no further sound is played and I have to manually exit the game (although it sometimes spits out an error).

My specs:

Intel Core i7-5775C

2 x AMD Radeon 290X crossfired via LG 27MU76 @ 3840 × 2160 Freesync

16 GB 2400 MHz-DDR3-RAM

Intel 750 SSD

Windows 10

Now here is the thing: I can solve the problem by manually enabling windowed mode. I naturally assumed it might be a problem with AMD Crossfire, but disabling this, doesn't solve the problem. The odd thing is: when I'm in the game with windowed mode, I can enable fullscreen without an issue or crash

So you are able to play the game but not start it fullscreen? Can I ask what Windows version you're running?

Sorry forgot to add this to the original post: it is Windows 10...again it was running a while back, which is why I assume it must be issue with either newer drivers (AMD Crimson Edition comes to mind) or a update the Amplitude Studios pushed...at least I do have a solution.

An den Themenhersteller: ich habe so ziemlich das gleich Problem, aber ich kann das Problem lösen, indem ich das Spiel nur im Fenster laufen lassen und nicht im Fullscreen. Vielleicht hilft dir das?

Yes I did...as I said: I followed all the instructions in the trouble shooting guide and it was running before under Windows 10. Something must have changed lately.

Have you tried launching the game after a clean boot, to pre-empt any software conflicts?

I solved all my issues with completely wiping the AMD drivers of my hard disk and reinstalling it. I had to use the AMD wiper to so, mind you. Simply uninstalling it obviously left some software fragments, which rendered the game unplayable.

Endless Space now works again without any problem.
