I have see English text in the German version(Disharmony) too.

For example the text for research effect for the Vaulters is English or the discription of the Vaulter Improvements. And the discription of the trait "Tolerant"

I bought the game on Steam and all my text are placeholders:







Is completely unplayable.



Running on Window 7 (latest patch), english.

Hello there,



It is a problem of connexion between the game and steam which causes issues to find the correct language.



First, check your game file integrity through steam properties.

Then, please upload your output.log file up here. It will also help us to see where the problem is.

This is just a shot in the blue, but I would try to first select a different language in the Steam settings, and start the game after Steam reopened to see if it makes a difference. After that, I would switch back to english and give it another try.

Steam language can be selected in the Steam menu, Settings, Interface.





You should also check out the games Properties (right click in Steam) and see what language is set there. Should be english and change to a different language after you changed the Steam Properties.

Managed to fix this following only this directions. Thanks a lot! Just set the language in properties to english, mine was blank.

There's a text error in an exploration event message where the name of the system is not reflected in the description, instead calling it "$System system"

Typo error. In the french bio of this hero, the "u" letter of "production" is missing.

Text entry #7 in the Ship Design tutorial still says "this is trye" when it should say "this is true."

Just came here to report that myself. Searched the forum and I saw it first reported in December 2013. Since that was 18 months ago, do textual bugs actually get fixed?

Hey there, a friend just started to play Endless Space in spanish language and we saw that the description of both United Empire and Sophons affinities are backwards.



United Empire affinity is described as giving smiley: science per taxes

Sophons affinity is decribed as giving smiley: industry per taxes



I checked if he was using an older version or the classic game but we both were playing Disharmony DLC and the game worked as it should so the only problem is the possition of the affinities.

I know it's annoying to fix errors in other languages but this can affect the gameplay of the new players who play in the said language.

"production queue" equal "construction queue".

"production queue" is changed to "construction queue", in my case.



But, it is Japanese(Kenzou - Kyu-; construction queue) .

I think all the weapon modules ended up with the wrong label.



All weapon modules read as tooltip "beam weapon module", including missiles and kinetic weapons. Super irritating when you are new to the game.
