Help, question on multiplayer.

Sorry, I bought the game for a week now, but whenever I go into the Join Game option, I see no games. No matter how I refresh the server I don't see any games available. I just want to ask, is it that I need to join any endless space groups on steam to see the games? Or simply my game is broke.

You dont need to join any groups make sure in the top rightfriends only is not checked

It also restricts games visible based on your steam region.

WOW, currently I am in Singapore, which is part of South East Asia. Does that mean I can't play multiplayer games if no one in SEA plays endless space?? Man if thats a yes then it is a complete waste of my money.

No, you can play games with people in other regions. You just have to change your steam download region, through Steam>settings
I'd suggest setting to either somewhere in UK or US

Also if you have Steam friends in other countries they can invite you to games. Maybe join one of the multiplayer social groups and just ask around, I'm sure you will find people to play with.

If that doesn't work out, convince your friends to buy ES
