Now before you read I apologize for missing anything and having improper format.



The multiplier issues relate to the information being sent and received without much of a check due to a complete peer to peer set up.

These issues are created not only from lacking enough checks and balances (such as it would be if one player was a centralized host and everything sent was checked then computed as compared to all of it at once) but there are also things that you may be doing that can affect these problems!



%updating - This is often caused by VPN clients such as hamachi! Make sure you only have your primary connection on (the one for internet) so there's nothing to interfere! A properly set up hamachi client will be read before your internet is and that's not how the multiplayer is made to work.



General Synch errors - These can apparently be caused by having other programs actively running (doesn't have as much of an impact) and Alt-Tabbing! Alt tabbing for reasons unknown to be cause problems with where ships are and which systems are which and can cause an error where when you scroll a system name disappears after a certain zoom height.



This about sums up all of the problems that I've sought out and troubleshot myself. I have had my 1/1 de-sync ratio go to 1/5 and that's with me breaking some of my own rules occasionally (though the game seems to de-sync when I do..)

I'm not saying this will happen right away but are just some of the causes of the problem! And I'm sure this is but a few of them.



How to tell if you de-sync or are going to - now most of these have been pointed out previously and boil down to common sense!

1- Score varies between you and who you play with (try making it a point every 5-10 turns to just simply state what rank you are in each tree with a response like 1-2-1-3)

2- System names and ownership, when your just getting to the point where you can see others and they are colonizing out or if there's a war going on then this applies to you! Some systems colors may not coordinate with the actual owner of the system and this is not to be related to graphical glitches caused by alt-tabbing!

3- Ghost ships, if you see a ship or a fleet of any faction that you cant do anything with or someone else doesn't see then its time to RE HOST! Do it now before it's too late! (Sometimes you need to wait a minute for clients to update for a ship to register or not register)

4- Heroes - Sometimes people get things they shouldn't you may start the game and realize you have the same hero multiple times or a friend seems to have half of the lesser faction heroes such as the endless hero and the Polaris workshop hero. (These games can often be continued but it's a 50/50 from what I've experienced.



If more need's to be added I will be watching the thread! I will respond to people as best I can (I am a player just the same as all of you)



Connection drop out/issues - Keep in mind this isn't really a bug or a complaint! I found out today that if you are playing a multiplayer game and for whatever reason your internet stops letting endless space update for any period of time it causes issues. Found this one out thanks to the genius that is my ISP!

Thank you for the complete report. I posted a sticky, which I can edit it if interesting tips to avoid desync or other MP issue are discussed in this thread.

There were a few other things that I had observed that are as of not ready to be noted.

As for hamachi if you open your network and sharing center you'l see a few connections, one will say hamachi and will be blue and clickable. You click on that and it pops up a window that has a "disable" button on it but this must be done every time you start up your computer.
