Version 1.60.01 Not an improvement-- a step backwards-- desyncing again

I was extremely pleased with version 1.60.00 released last Tuesday. Played about a half dozen games before today and experienced one desync around turn 90ish of one of the games.



That being said, I am somewhat alarmed that the new addition has thrown in a wrench in a working version. We had two games tonight, both of which ended around turn 35ish with desyncs and the players that were losing not coming back for the reload. This was happening far too frequently before 1.6 came out last Tuesday and tonight it happened again... twice.



The new detection thing is nice, but the fact that the game is desyncing again after only 30-odd turns is very disturbing. Hopefully it was just bad luck tonight, but please check the most recent changes and make sure they are not to blame!

Hello there,



I just wanted to inform you that we have made a hot-fix this morning concerning the detector.

In fact it is a debug tool that we did not intend to release public, one of the main reason being that it reports some false positives which are of no consequence on a multiplayer game (and could occur quite early) and it slows down turn computation.

In other terms, the build 1.0.61 is not different from 1.0.60 except for the improvements mentioned in the release note.

Today tried hosting two more games and both froze up around turn 30. In both games I noticed feedback/reporting errors before combats where ships were mislabeled and then changed after combat results. The game froze up the same turn that happened on both occasions.



Also the little desync feedback thing is still there, but today it was green both times the game was frozen.



Something is amiss with the update, the game was working way better under 1.0.60, at least for the games I was hosting last week.

If the desync detector is still there it is most probable that the patch 1.0.61 has not been uploaded on your computer.

Moreover, I think veryfing integrity of your game cache could be a good starting point in order to fix your issues (right click on game in steam library and open properties, then go to local files panel and click on "verify integrity of game cache").

my game freezes randomly late game in middle of turn sometimes. pretty sure its just me, as i rejoin and everyone is still playing normally.



also, games still crash, its just much later than the usual turn 20-30. its more like turn 80-90 now. i still see ghost fleets.
