new to endless space online

i made this thread becouse i have been thinking abot starting to play endless space multiplayer. i was just wonering, dosent a game take a very long time, a singelplayer game sure does and with 4 people playing and micromaneging there tuns it would take forever to win a game(unless someone quits). just wandering if any of you could tell me about your expirianses

Well everyone takes their turn at the same time, so that really helps.

A game takes roundabout 2-4 hours.



Note that it usually is not played out to the last colony but most of the time people agree who won and just surrender.



It is not a very relaxing thing to do as most games are set up with time-limits for your turns. And if you don't micromanage fast enough, the turn might simply end while you're at it.

So you might think about using governors in the less important systems and only override what they do if you have time for it.



The worst part is designing ships under time pressure. When you want to make three new designs or so after a tech-breakthrough, you often are forced to just click auto instead of finetuning the design because that simply takes too long.



So it plays a little like an RTS in regard about how you have to play.

okay. thanks i was afraid that everyone had there turn one at a time, like in civilaisaition(i know my english is bad) but 3-4 hours is very comprihensible
