Seriously, how can anything be made as this much crap, taking after Paradox Entertainment?

Which might be ok, if the game is patched to be able to play I guess, not likely as I see it.

#1 Game Turn processing forever.

#2 Invisible Fleet

#3 Game Turn button can't be clicked.

#4 Colony Ship filled with bunnies that drops off 40 population of people (colony ship never removed)

#5 Inviible Fleet

#6 Cold War fleet sieging an outpost and unable to attack said fleet without declaring war.

Seriously, regardless of the ability, ingenuity, or creativity of the designers, a game with that many bugs in so short a time (even 1 per game wouldn't really be acceptable). The utter contempt of a company to actually dare to suggest a future expansion for people to buy, shocking.

I hope that this company can somehow pull through and get their poop together because said poop has been hitting the fan for awhile now.

I've never encountered those bugs, only the game turn thing every now and then. There's a UI related bug I run into consistently and managing to get fleets stuck when they attempt to leave a system but that's it. I guess you're just unlucky.

I have also encountered these bugs, sometimes very early, sometimes after 40+ turns...

And...what's the matter with you guys always commenting on bug reports with denial und disbelief? Only because you have not encountered similar issues it does not mean that other people are idiots, k?

Some Bugs to add to the list that have caused my friends and I to stop playing this game until they figure how to repair the multiplayer.

#1 Entire Fleets getting held up by ships when reloaded are never there

#2 Loosing entire systems when a game is reloaded due to bugs locking it up (it was a sad game we had played to about 120 dealt with afew basic bugs. Had to reload due to non-existent pirate fleets when loaded, my 2 friends lost roughly 6+ planets each due to pirates or other factions but the game had continued to let them improve, build and use the planets right before the load.)

#3 Fid Counts thats right FID counts. Idk if its major bug but its happened 1 too many times in my plays that I cant deal with it anymore. It would give me false FID numbers either way too high or too low. Not a very common bug but enough times that its driven me away from the game till such bugs can be fixed

and the worst part? I feel I read the patch notes and still don't see HALF the problems mentioned. Seriously Amplitude needs to pick up their shit. Maybe less community contests and some actual work?

Actually a friend of mine played MP with me against Ai, on a reload he did lose about 10+ systems and they seemed to have been replaced (seperate bug maybe I dunno) with a similar amount of colony ships.

Can you please take a screenshot of the game menu? We would like to know which version of the game you are currently playing. Thank you!

Oh it's uninstalled now, we both were too frustrated to bother playing with the many bugs in Endless Space.

In the case of both the single and multiplayer they were updated to the latest version if that helps.

Maybe we'll try playing again once the game is fixed.

So, you didn't even look into the fact they they've currently put out an opt-in multiplayer beta to try to fix issues exactly like this, and instead rushed to the forum to flame them for not caring?

Also, #6 in your list of bugs sounds like it is probably intended behavior, if the outpost was inside the influence region of the faction you were at cold war with. To fight them in their territory you have to declare war, if you have a system that is overtaken by their influence, they can take it from you without declaring war. It's probably a bug if there weren't influence regions much yet, but later on in the game the game just has somewhat quirky rules for how exactly things work diplomatically.

I don't advocate companies to undertake releasing knowingly broken software and fixing it later (and by later that could mean years).

And no, I don't care that there's a beta right now, I paid money for a working product, it doesn't work. If I wanted I could contact Steam and demand a refund since software that doesn't perform properly breaks any sales contract (and any sale in case you're unaware, is a contract). However I expressly have not done that, as I have hope that 'sometime' in the furture ES might work.

A fleet blockading an outpost during cold war should have been able to be attacked, and there was no influence of other empires there.

I very much doubt that they did release "knowingly broken" software, but bugs exist in every piece of software I've ever used or written for anything, ever. In fact, in business, most programs/hardware are released "knowingly broken" in some ways, that's what errata are for. The important thing is that there is some form of support and attempt to fix the bugs once they are discovered, and I feel that amplitude is doing a fairly good job in this respect. It is taking a little too long, in my opinion, but they are working on it.

I'll give you that the bugs in this game have been more severe than the bugs in many games, but I doubt amplitude realized just how bad they were, if they knew they existed at all, when the game was released.

Oh they most certainly knew there were many bugs, and I agree that many companies do release software that way. Paradox Entertainment being one case (which is vowing never to do so again heh).

I don't doubt that they are working on the bugs, and that they want to have a great product.

Personally this could be my second favourite game ever (once bugs die) pushing MoO 2 to third place... and first place of course being Free Allegiance RTS/FPS.

Played the game a long time and just recently bought it because I loved it so much and felt like supporting the company even though im really poor. In my 50 or so games playing endless space i have not encountered any of those bugs.
