Hi there,

I am thinking of buying me the game to play with my flat mate. I am wondering how many copies of the game are needed for a private multiplayer match. This might be a strange question, but e.g. Civilization can be played privately fully legal with just one copy, playing in Steams offline mode.

Thx and greetz

You are talking about a LAN match, right?

If so, you should install Endless space on multiple computers and try doing a Mulitplayer match. (I am suggesting this because I have never tried)

If you could, please post your findings.

Yeah, I'm talking about a LAN match. For some reason I have that certain feeling it is not a LAN LAN but routet through some Steam server (I have downloaded the manual from Steam and it says it is a "private match", posts in the Steam forum asking for a real LAN implementation).

Right now there is no real LAN implementation, so this should not work.

Well, Civilization has no real LAN implementation as well as LAN games work only if you are connected with the Gamespy servers. However, we now bought two copies of the game as there was an marketing campaign of a local store where we got it cheap. Now someone else has to try it out.
