Back to pre free weekend numbers, was it wise to do a free weekend before mp fix?

Hi Guys,

We were very lively in MP during the free weekend with the global merge and this remained better for a time after. Now we are back to the quiet days, even with the global merge. Been waiting now for an hour for players.

I noticed thousands of players never tried single player and went straight to MP.... They all went mental at the sync issues in when it happened in my games and I fear a high % of players only downloaded the free weekend to check out MP.

Solution, until MP fix, just play with a few people who you know aren't going to ragequit.

Yeah I felt the timing on the free weekend was a mistake, I know I dragged a number of guildies back to the game to give it another shot and we were all disappointed that MP wasn't fixed yet. Right now I'm playing one game after each patch to see if MP is fixed and then stopping again.

I look forward to the day its fixed and hope there is another free weekend after that.

Probably was a mistake, I just hope that it didn't turn away a lot of potential new players.

Just curious, what's broke about MP? I've only just dabbled with the single player game.

There used to be constant sync issues for players. There were also some design choices that made multiplayer incredibly frustrating: you didn't always get to choose cards when going into autobattle, so players would have to go through the entire cinematic just to pick cards. If they got another battle notification when that battle started, they had to respond to it because there was a timer - and the timer would run out before the cinematic ended. That's just one example.

I'm pretty sure that most or all of the issues with multiplayer have been resolved, though. I was actually kind of disappointed it wasn't a free weekend, since there are two friends of mine who are interested in the game but would rather try it before they buy it.
