I literally see 0 online games whenever I click join game. Am I doing something wrong or does nobody play online anymore?

Actually a fair number of people still do, but your best bet if you are having trouble is to look for games in peak hours, usually later evenings in the US and Europe. Also, weekends tend to have many more games running than weekdays. And, as Ail suggested, if you are really having a lot of trouble try inviting a few friends. Good luck!

i do most times with random players not using steam at all out of 2 reasons:



i dont want to bother anyone

second i am usually showed as offline so that no annoying Counterstrike players send me messages while I am playing^^

Is the game still divided by region? If so, you should set your download region to somewhere like US East.



I still see a few games here and there, but I've been too involved in getting all the achievements to hop into any.

I believe they stopped that back in a January or February update - everyone is world now.

For myself, it's hard to find the time needed to play an online game game as I work freelance and tend to put in a 50 hour week working, but I do still play, just not very often.

Sometimes only 1-3 games are shown but in the evening I could see about 20 games running yesterday. Many of them were greyed out, seems they used Mods?

When i switched to "classic" a few were highlighted but still many were greyed out.



Btw: can you save the game you joined to continue it offline with KI or other players?

Yes; you can reload the save to continue playing. If no-one joins you'll be up against the AI and if the original players join they join as the faction they where playing previously.

I was looking for a game like Master of Orion 2 for ages and ES gets very close. This game will take hundreds of hours of my free time. smiley: biggrin
