Lobby Creation Failed multiplayer error on start-up

I tried starting a multiplayer game and get an error "Lobby Creation Failed". Tried both public and private. Other MP games are working and the multiplayer is working on my other computer. The computer is running Windows 7. Any ideas?

Logging out of Steam completely and re-logging in seems to fix the problem - for the moment.
