Cant get early rush or trading right

Hello!

Normally when i play Endless Space i play Harmony, i really like the team and their benefits, and i love playing with the tolerant trait so i can settle on gas giants early. I can usually get away with teching a bit with them in the beginning since none in my group of friends plays very aggressively, and later on they get very strong and the games usually goes pretty well for me. I can also manage Sophons decently.



What i want to learn to play well though, is a very aggressive style of play. I want to go military right away and do constant harassing and take stuff from other people. Last game we played i went Hissho and grabbed a few traits that seemed to fit them like "endless war", "knowledge gathering" and "headhunter - administrator" (to get early production). It went decently well but i was very dust starved after a while and that limited my ability to focus on producing ships. I also happened to lose my hero pretty early and didn't have enough dust to heal him until well over 20 round later, and then it was pretty much too late for me to be relevant anymore. What do i focus on in the start and how should i play? Which traits and builds do i use? This time i went with long range kinetics mostly to attempt to knock out enemy ships before they could fire on me, went so-so but a friend who went long range beams kinda won over me in the end. Help me create a good strategy for this type of play. How do i progress and reach the best effectiveness?



Also how do i use Amoeba well? I've tried using them with the "blockade breakers" and extra trade routes traits so they can trade in cold war thinking it would work very well with their vision of the whole map, but it wasnt as effective as i thought it would be. How should i use them and how should i use trade?

Hey there, i have a rush build with the Vaulters with smiley: industry traits and the tolerant trait.

What i do is expand to lava or methane planets in early game and cover the disapproval with the optimistic trait, the point is to make an outpost close to the targeted enemies homeplanets or production systems to attack them on early game with the portals the Vaulter affinity provides, i usually rush lasers and if its possible troop invasion wich is slightly more difficult and depends on the quality of your constellation, it almost always works in 1v1 but becomes very tricky in a massive multiplayer due to the low defences of this all in strategy.

Remeber that this strategy is all about early victory or death smiley: stickouttongueower:
