1) You can find the xml corresponding to your custom faction in



Documents\Endless Space\Faction\

or

Documents\Endless Space\Disharmony\Faction\



2) Open one of your custom faction



3) Change the path of the image







However, you can only use existing pictures with this method. Another solution is to create a mod with custom factions; thus you can link it to any images that is referenced in your mod assets.
