Defense/Damage calc in Disharmony...

Has this been changed from Classic?



I like to tweak the defensive percentage bonus as a matter of personal preference, upwards of 50%+ in classic.... but in Disharmony, i seem to receive far more damage than I would normally with my tweaks.



i've not had a chance to look into it in any detail yet (gonna tear it apart this weekend tho) but I wondered if anyone could give me a heads up if something significant has changed or i should be looking for other values elsewhere now...

Basically, the total reduction of dmg up to a point by using defenses has been exchanged in favor of a percentual reduction of all damage incoming by a weapon type with diminishing returns.

I do not know the full formula, but the very concept of the defenses has changed.

The formula basically is:



Damage=RawDamage*Defense/(Defense+HullWeakness)



RawDamage represents whatever damage you would do without defenses. This also wildly varies depending on certain factors.
