Does anyone know where the files are that give decision to fire.

I think I messed up my mod as AI is not initiating combat when at neutral star.

Is it Simulation/Registry.xml or AI/Personality or somewhere else.

OR is there a bug with vanilla? I haven't seen it but don't play it much.

Thanks

There is no bug as far as I know.

I do not know in what xml file this is stored, but i suggest you make a sum of all xml files you changed - and look into the ones that could contain the parameter.

Bug is in vanilla in Simulation/Registry line 518:
0.7
Ennemy is spelled Enemy:
0.7
Guess my scouts have lost their job holding up the Armadas.

Is this bug present in the game itself or something you mistakely did? If it was there before, we better tell the devs to fix it for everyone.

Well if it shows up in your Vanilla registry file, I'd say its everyone's bug lol

But it doesn't show up in mine, so...

Don't get your hopes up, it's unlikely "Ennemy" is the cause because it is everywhere in the Registry file. The devs are French, they forgot enemy has only one "n" in english.

I was entertaining that hypothesis and looked up the French spelling of enemy and concur.

However most of its appearance is in comments

Either the spelling fixed the bug so they may now fire

OR

I've disabled the AI decision making process to where they always fire.

I'll let you know if I get a winner.

There's also the third possibility that that entry has a default value in the hard code we cannot see.

All I know as the bad guys are shooting when they have the advantage and I changed Enemmy to Enemy throughout without a crash or any problems.
