As you can still assign the old combat values to defences I was wondering if they are at all included in the new combat system's calculations or is it pure defence values.

You could have just tested it yourself, or read any of the threads about it. Regardless, yes, they work, so you could have a hybrid system.

Thanks for the response. I lack skills to test myself and can't every find the right search word or lack skills to narrow searches.

It is really, really easy.



1. Go read the Endless space entry on Disharmony Combat Mechanics.

2. Backup your Endless Space Public_xp1 folder. For me its in: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Space\Public_xp1\

3. Go to the Simulation directory of Endless Space Public_xp1. For me its: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Space\Public_xp1\Simulation

4. Open DefenuseModule.xml with a text editor. Notepad works.

5. Go to line 5.

6. Change

7. Save

8. Load Endless Space with Disharmony.

9. Load a save (that doesn't use mods) or start a new game.

10. Note improvements in Deflector 1.

11. If you screw anything up, copy and paste the contents of your backup over your screwed up files.
