as the title says, how do I get mods to work on mac

I have followed the tutorial here:

but it does not seem to work at all... they do not show up in the mod manager in game, can anyone help please?

Tried that, didn't work. I noticed though that there were no Endless Space folders in neither my Documents folder not my Applications Support folder... I had to make them.. yet it still does not appear to work, any other ideas?

Well... I don't have a mac, so I'm not a lot of help, but try searching for an Endless Space folder--it has to be somewhere, right? If you manage to find one, putting the modding folder in there should work. :-\
