This is a partially rendered Portrait of what I envision Eaters of the Dead might look like. I will post a better quality picture when it is is done rendering.

Notice the tongue which is prehensile and able to tear apart most fabricated materials as long as it can gain purchase around them. Each segment counter rotates against the next segment, and within the teeth of each segment are channels that lead to a tubular chamber allowing it to inhale the masticated material.



Also note the triple triangular patches of light within each eye, these are enhanced sensors the parasitic Eaters place directly in the pupils to enhance and even replace sight if the organic eyes are damaged.



Notice that this Eater of the Dead does not wear any clothes, this is often the case as they consider the bodies themselves something akin to clothing also most modern synthetic clothing is consumed by the bio mechanical life that coexists with them in their natural environment.

hm.. nice .. but .. why it looks so ... huh, grainy?

The grainyness is normal when rendering a 3d image. It fades away the longer the image is rendered.

But big, complex images can take days to fully render on a desktop PC, so usually you just take an image which rendered for a few hours as a preview
