Chapter 1



-At first, it was a sound, a faint and weak, but then we had no parameters to judge on, so this sound was the entirety of our existence the sound was life, the sound was everything, we called it "All". then came the second sound, a opposite loud and conflicting sound, and we called it "End",the two sound where conflict for all eternity on our heads, it was everything we could perceive of reality, sometimes "All" wins the fight and we had prosperity and well-being, but sometimes the "End" wins, and we have shortage and suffering. This cycle seemed to be eternal, then a third element came, any of you can tell me what was it?



Little Jackie says:



-The "Strange", professor Huvald!



-Yes, the "Strange", what we know now as the light, came and offered us freedom from the Sound Wars. But, then we had the price, the "Effort", the "Labor" and the "perceptions", now, only we, could build our own prosperity or destruction. A great responsibility that the Endless gave us...at least, that´s what the priests said to us in the Old Time, before the age of reason, before the Dust.



-Since when the Sophons abandoned these beliefs?

All his bright little students leave the classroom of the Academy, Huvald was a Knowledge Holder, the highest grade of Sophon scientific ranks, one of (if not) the brightest of his kind, he studied for decades the most diverse sciences and was highly proficient at all of them. But today, he was only the professor of little Sophons, he liked this , he considered himself as the "Builder of the Future". It ios a mystery indeed why he decided to abandon his multiple researches to focus on a job that a below-average Sophon could handle, the job of kid´s professor, not that the Academy was saying something against it, having one of the greatest mind of their time working full-time as professor was quite an honor, but still, a mystery.



Sunddenly, someone interrupts his meditations:



-Professor Huvald?



-Yes?



-I am G´uad, officer of the Sophon Fleet, its a pleasure to talk to you in person.



-A military officer uh? what do you want? a new weapon to destroy more life?



-Actually, professor, you should see the news, our old friends, the Pilgrims, suffered and great invasion days ago, and only a minimal part of their fleet survived.



-So what you want me to do?



-We want you to help us with a project that could help them to survive and find a new home protected from the influence of the United Empire.



-You realize that helping them would cost a great deal on our diplomatic relations with he UE don´t you?



-Yes, but regardless, we think the benefits of this actions would pay off any diplomatic consequences of this, they have important researchers and experienced people on this fleet.



-So, i will ask you once more, what do you want me do to.



-Well, for this, you should come with me.



-Where? i have an responsibility with the future of our species here...



-No need to worry, we arranged everything that a capable professor can substitute you for the time being.

More precisely, the myth described on The Silmarillion, on the Ainulindale where Eru creates the Ainur (the gods) and the music, just for Melkor to create a dissonance, and that by consequence, created good and evil on the Middle Earth... something like this. i readed the Silmarillion long time ago...D:

Chapter 2



Huvald was taken to a military equipped ship within a commercial hull to distract any spies, the locatin was no secret, but he learned that it was only a rally point where he will go to the true research station, he knew little of the project, only that the Main Circles of the Sophon government thinks that will be of utmost important to save the Pilgrims, so they are investing a great deal on it. The voyage would take 3 week, even with the advent of the technology that permitted the Sophon ships to travel within space without relying to wormholes, it was a very secret and costly tech, so only the most important ships of the fleets, apart of all of the Discovery-Class Flagships of each of the 16 Main Fleet, only a few ships of major importance (like this) carried this tech, Hulvald knew all this, because it was him that developed all the theory behind it and was the leader of the first prototypes projects, before he became disillusioned with the scientific research being constantly used for military purposes and he became a child teacher to,on his own words "Teach them well values of pacifism and respect to all form of life."and completed "Even the Cravers!", he was ostracized of the scientific community because of his extravagant ideas on pedagogy. But now it seemed that he was about to became notorious again, but he feared to see his research being used to destroy life again, so he was insecure about all this and only accepted because it was to "save" the Pilgrims, a people that has his respect, apart from the fact they are too religious to his atheist tastes.



Huval was sitted inf ront of that boring,stupid officer and said:



-So...you came from Epsilon Pegasi Academy?



The poor officer was shocked, this info was a top secret, the reason for this was because this especificaly Academy formed the best officials of the Sphon military and was one of the most respected in the all galaxy, even by the birds, the very location of this Academy within the Epsilon Pegasi Sector, a net of 6 systems was a secret and until very recently, its very existence was a mystery, the techniques used in this particular academy where all evry experimental and rumors said that even genetic modifications where used.



-Y...yes...how do you know?



Huvald smiled with superiority:



-Ah child...my life is long and my experience is vast, it was easy to acquire information about every military secret of the Sophons, like for example, that oh-so secret Stellar Forge that fabricates ships with top-notch experimental technologies and as far as i know, you don´t have the sufficient clearance to know this,i am ostracized from the scientific community, but i still have influence and power within the Sophon political arena.



G´uad had nothing to say, this old Sophon is really up to his reputation and this made him a dangerous being, that explained much to him.



-Why don´you take a rest, we have 3 weeks of voyage until our destiny, you should be well-rested when we get to the research station.



-I agree, anyway, im going to my VC to write some documents explaining my absence to my friend, i think this should take more time than i expected.



So he did this.



3 weeks later he arrived at the spacedock of Niobe Prime on Niobe System, he was received by a most surprising (in a bad way) committee, his old colleagues from the times of research. "That cannot be good" Huvald thought.
