The Leralons: Humanoids or tripods?

Well guys, after having some conversation with Stealth_Hawk, I decided to re-think the Leralons morphology, considering that their current body is somewhat stereotyped, because it is too semelant with the aliens from Independence Day or Species 8472. HOWEVER, I would still want you guys opinion: If you have already seen the faction I'm planning to do (https://www.games2gether.com/endless-space/forum/38-creations/thread/16442-the-leralons-faction), do you think they would look better as humanoids or as they current look like? If you would like them to continue the way they currently are, do you think I have to "improve" a bit their tripod like body?

I like your Idea and the Faction in general. But they are a space travelling species after all so i would make the arms a little bit bigger, I could imagine something like this http://pixologic.com/interview/mass-effect3/7/img/images/Keeper_ZBrender02.jpg would make a pretty good body-type for the Leralons , so not 3 legs , but 4 , an upright body ,(they have to manage machinery somehow, and if your crawling on the ground its kinda hard) , and longer arms. It doesnt have to look like an insectoid as in the picture , but the basic body is usable i think

Oh, like the Keepers from Mass Effect. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll take it in consideration.
