Will Humankind have multiplayer problems as well? Will you fix your other games's problems?

Dungeon of the Endless, Endless Legend and Endless Space 2 are all advertised as "multiplayer" games. But none of their multiplayer funtions work correctly. All of them have problems with desyncs. And their resyncing doesn't work either. Usually the host can continue playing, but other players get replaced by AI, or the host recieves control of their units. If Humankind is to have any of the same problems, my friends and I are not even going to bother picking it up.

Side question: Do you guys have any plans to update your previous games, and fix these issues? We've been waiting for years, and still have not gotten anything from you guys. Very disappointing. We had such high hopes for you guys. The whole reason we bought your games was to play together, and we never could...

I guess as long as they use Unity, desyncs and their effects will stay.

Note: there are different causes of what you may denote as general "desyncs". For example: The AI taking over a player that is strill in the game and can still watch things happening in EL is due to instable steam server connections. While that is still the fault of Amplitude to some extend (ou shouldnt be so reliant on steam server connection), it has nothing really to do with their netcode or engine. For what its worth, at least the latter issue has been fixed in the community patch for EL.

Yeah it's great that that specific issue is fixed in the ELCP. But not all their games with these issues have a community-made patch you can download to help fix some things. If anything, the devs could look at their solution and try to see if they can implement in somewhere else. It is very infuriating when you and your friends buy a game that's advertised as a Multiplayer game with the sole intention of playing that game together, only to find the game's multiplayer features are so broken you can't even finish a single match together. As soon as the first desync hits, that match is over. The "resync" feature does not do its job.

I just wish all the games has a built in way to automatically submit desync data. They were good about fixing desyncs people properly reported. But you had to jump through some hoops to collect all the right files to upload so they could reproduce. If there was a "submit desync report?" and automatic upload of it all, that'd be awesome and then they could collect the data easily and fix every desync.

I haven't experienced a desync issue yet personally when playing multiplayer. About 8 or so hours as of this post.

27 hours in game. The vast majority are multi. There definitely is an issue with desyncs and "internet connection lost". I think it might have something to do with AI battles since their turn pip remains unfilled and they have the cross swords in the point chart. Having said that, the game is wicked good fun and it is a relatively fast (if still annoying) reload.
