Is this game going to implement hot seat? This is something I have loved about Civ so my partner and I can play together. 

We really want a change from that game and this looks really promosing and I really enjoyed Endless Legend

That is such a shame, I imagine this will put quite a lot of people off :( I was hoping I could find a new fix after putting over 1000 hours into Civ VI, guess we will just wait for 7

As a chess fan, I sometimes like to play games with myself. If the developers find a way to implement this feature, it will be great. This feature also allows to learn the mechanics of the game at a quiet pace and gives room for independent experiments.

P.S. Interesting fact: There is even  game in the RTS genre that has the function of playing from a single computer.

Yes HotSeat was a really nice feature often in older games. It was especially useful when internet costed per minute and such, as well as when only other option was to connect via TCP/IP which often crashed and definetly was not a safe way either, as You had to give out your IP Adresss to hook up. I ever only did that in old Heroes of Might And Magic games with real life friends i can trust. I'm sure one reason at least some game companies abandoned HotSeat is that it does not make people buy double or even triple copies of games in familes with multiple family members playing together. Now if wanting to play with family menbers You are forced to buy many copies of the same game. The usual business reason of making more money. Foillow the trail of money and You often find the motive, he he he !!! :)

Jokes aside. I don't see many games having HotSeat anymore, I'm sad to say.
