After watching PotatoesMcWhiskey play this it looked really nice. I greatly enjoyed Endless Legends when I was still using Steam. So, I'd love to pick this up. I just had a few questions before I make a determination on whether or not I will.

1. Will there be any non-Steam release?

About 4 years ago when Civilization 6 released there was an official Civ DLC suggestion thread on Steam and I asked for, "Israel either ancient or modern." with the hope there would finally be a civ that takes Judaism as their primary religion and then I as a player could RP leading my people out of a Diaspora. I was instantly banned from Steam and when I inquired as to why they told me it was 'too political' to which I pointed out it is in Crusader Kings as well as practically every other Paradox Game and that there should be no issue with an ancient Israel. Again they said no. I pointed out the 12 working Nazi mods in the Steam Workshop within the first month of Civilization 6's release and asked why they weren't 'too political' and was banned a second time.

At this point I contacted 2K Games who were shocked and put me in touch with Steams management who backed their Mods and said, "It would be nice to one day not involve real world issues in gaming." to which I was like WTF because like Russia is in Civ and they had just invaded the Ukraine and so it is for like every other included Civ. They themselves were pulling real world crap into the game where as I just wanted to RP Moses man! 2K Games apologized and explained Steam determines what DLCs they can release as they own all distribution via a contract.

Since then, 4 years ago now, I have begun boycotting Steam along with a growing number of people. Although now there are more anti-monopoly boycotters than anti-bigorty boycotters in the protest. Steam owns like 80% of the market for distribution which is unfair to competitors. So now we all search for developers and attempt to directly fund and buy games from them rather than endorse an antisemitic monopoly. That all being said we need a non-Steam release if we're to pick up this game. Will that be possible?

2. Will Israel be in the game and will additional Civs be added over time?

It would be awesome to turn back Rome as Bar Kochbah or adhere to the Lunar Calendar as Israelites. Maybe it is silly but I love these things.

3. Will there be a Console release?

I personally developed some back issues which are mostly resolved now, but when they first came on I couldn't use my computer at all. Since then my Nintendo Switch has seem a huge spike in use as the Joy-Cons allow me to point and click like a mouse while standing and facing my TV instead of sitting and putting pressue on my spine.

Before the back issues I worked behind a desk all day and so it ia nice to switch off the computer and use something that is more ergonomic or at least changes my posture. Due to this I am hoping more developers will releae to the Nintendo Switch and was wondering if this game might see a release there?

(Side Note: If Endless Legends released on the Switch I'd buy it and all the DLC over again. It has honestly replaced my computer for most games juat because of the back strain of being at a computer literally all day. I suggest it to other gamers who have similar back issues. it really does make a difference.)

Thanks!

Would be awesome to have it on console as well. To be honest,I don't have time anymore to upgrade my PC, so console (Xbox) for me is currently best experience to play.

I already bought Civ6 on console and it feels great. Some things to be corrected for sure there, but I already like more to play it on console over PC.

Paradox also released some of their games on consoles (for example Stellaris) and I like it too. Would be really nice to have this game on console, cause not sure anymore if I will meet system requiremens for best graphics (I think so, but you will never know).

And that's partially true - when you work half of a day with your PC then you want to change environment for couple of hours. You fee; much more relaxed sitting then on couch and playing on big screen TV. I am more eager to play games on Xbox now than PC.

Would also love to see a console release.  The XBOX SeriesX and PS5 have ridiclously strong power/graphics and I hope to see more of these types of games migrate to console.
