Resolving a war and a list of territories is displayed to pick from, but I can't find any way to check the names of the territories.

Is there a way to display them? I just guessed and checked a few, seeing what random territories I got after.

I have the same problem. You can see the non city territories by checking their linked city but for the cities themselves or unlinked territories I can't figure it out

In Endless Legend territories names are shown on the map when you zoom out, I wonder why is not the same in Humankind.

I came here to post the same issue.  I had to reload the save game a few times to figure out which territory correlates to which name.  If the devs are reading this, it would be great if there was a map filter that just showed the territories and their names to make it easier to plan war goals and peace demands.

Yah, this was frustrating when I took two cities with one other connected territory each. At the least they should change the displayed territory name of the city center to the city's name, so that even if you have to duck out of the diplomacy page to check which city is which, it is clear what you're getting.

I would like to revive this thread, since this problem is still not solved. Maybe the developers will read this thread and can come up with a solution soon.

Zoom out. Then open the war resolution dialog. Voila, all the territory names show up. You can also click on the little magnifying glass in the war resolution screen and it will take you right there.

Agree with it, I want it like Endless Legend as well. To be honest I don't mind that "city's name is territory's name, ignore the culture", as an option at least.

It is however quite impractical to have to zoom in and out or go back to the map, then to the diplo' stuff in order to understand what territories are concerned by the deals.

You can do it all from the diplo screen.

It is not always easy to read it if you play big maps and many territories are involved.

I'm not sure to understand what you mean, is it the way I'd design the UI? If so, I don't know, I'm just saying it is not always easy to be sure of the location of a territory when there's a list of them. Here's a screenshot to explain maybe a bit better the « problem », it is a bit cryptic, shown like that, and going back to the map is mandatory if I want to be sure to discuss the same location than the AI.

Yep, I meant how would you do the UI, once you know about the zoom out thing it's quite fast to do it and pan the map or use the magnify icon to go to a territory position.

I was thinking of a quick toggle (to hide the diplo UI and keep icons/colors on the map) but I'm not sure it would really be an improvement, as you lost the list and "got to" icon then.

Maybe allow to zoom further out for larger maps ?

Your screen is kind of the opposite issue, with the names not quickly visible in the diplo list this time.

I don't know what would make it easier for the brain for most players.
Zoomed in, you won't see the name, zoomed out you don't get to recognize the thing, as the names are most of the time not enough on big maps (even on small ones for people like me who only remember names of cities).

Maybe we could get :
- an indication if the territory is attached to a city and which one

- some kind of minimap?
- arrows showing the closest cities around.

And, to help form a decision :

- informations about the territory (resource, districts, wonders, etc.)

I guess the same issue applies not only to war resolution but also to [peaceful] territorial grievance resolution. It would be nice overall if the resolution screen/menu contained a kind of minimap instead of a list, which would be more demonstrative.
