I dont know if anyone else feels the same, but i think the volume for the ages music packs are 3 dollars overpriced, there are 4 volumes, each have 2 hours worth of music. It costs 4 dollars each, thats 16 dollars for all 4 volumes. Thats asking allot considering the game itself is 50 dollars alone, their most expensive game to date. As well as the fact you might not even hear half if not most of the music until a long time later when combined with the main games soundtrack. So does anyone else think that it would be much more reasonable for the price to be 1 or 2 dollars for each volume? Thats 4-8 dollars for the whole package.

You can always simply turn off the music ingame and play the tracks from Youtube. I personally will wait for a sale till I make my decision about the music - I love music variety and very much enjoy the work done by Arnaud Roy and the Slovak Orchestra. Just as a small gesture to Amplitude, I used to buy Endless Space 2 and Endless Legend quest DLC on launch.

The whole bundle on Steam is 33% off, so currently is 4 EUR (I live in the EU) per volume. If you wait for a discount it will probably drop down to 10-12 EUR for the whole package. Which I find is a steal for 8 full hours of music. :)

so Amplitudes charges 16 dollars (4 for each volume) for music that you can listen to for free on youtube, I know buying it is more of a small gesture of support but considering the circumstances, the price is a bit too much, maybe bring it down to 2 dollars, 1 dollar for each hours worth of music, so 8 dollars for the whole pack. Still a good amount of money to give to Amplitude but not enough to where you could choose to buy a 15 dollar game instead.

If you want to buy it you get essentially two things :
- All new tracks are contextually integrated into the game. When you play with the Khmer for example you will listen to the Khmer tracks most of the time. You can do this manually on the GF4 records channel (that is Arnaud Roy's studio, the maestro who created all music for Humankind) if you would like to.
- You get FLAC versions of all tracks, a way better sound quality than what is available on Youtube. If you are an audiophile this is more than worth it.

In the end it is your call - you can wait for a sale or just listen to them via Youtube. You have different options at least. ;)

P.S.
A few years ago a CD or a full album would cost about 10-12 EUR. I am not sure what decade you grew up in but 16 EUR for 8 hours of music is a steal compared to what it used to be 10 years ago.
