Hi,

There are several achievements related to resources production. Each time separated in two: produce 500 then 1000 of X resource.

All resources, except food, are almost only positive values (some events might casually add static or per cent debuff).

On the other hand, food balance is decreased by pop consumption which makes "500/1000 food" achievements way harder (almost impossible?) than other ones.

For example, I have several cities over 1000:

- City 1 (81 pop): 83 food "produced" per turn, -1304 food consumed per turn -> real production 1387/t

- City 2 (95 pop): 37 food "produced" per turn, -1663 food consumed per turn -> real production 1700/t

- City 3 (73 pop): 95 food "produced" per turn, -1117 food consumed per turn -> real production 1212/t

I found that a bit illogic, but maybe it's only me and it's intended to be like that.

Thanks for reading.

You can easily cheese this if you want to: just do a population buyout in your 95 pop city and it should unlock as soon as you click "next turn," because without all that pop, you should have a large enough surplus.

In contrast to industry, science, and gold, it doesn't make any sense to have such a large surplus, as the growth is limited to 1 per turn.

That's a particular way to cheese... A casual genocide on our own pop :D

Of course, it's not really useful to have too much surplus. But I think the achievements should be based on real production, not surplus production. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But thanks a lot !
