Endless Siege

Hi,


the computer started a siege with a "city state". Although it can easily win the siege, it maintains it. Is there a way that I, as a 3rd party can break the siege? Since the siege territory spans the computers city and the city state city, neither of them can be attacked - which is annoying.

I have encounterted this issue too.

After more than 40 turns the siege keeps to be active. Here there is a screenshot of the endless siege. Also in this case the siege occurs between an ai vs indipendent. Is there any workaround?

ok the siege ended when I finally decided to attack the ai. But it lasted more than 40 turns!

Hi,


I meet the same problem: AI seige a Mercenary territory. but even If I won against the AI, the siege still active and never ended. war started after siege started

AI civilization has no more territory, only the reinforcement troups exist, AI has a vassal, I eliminated too.


But i found no way to stop, attack or unlock this situation.

I had a similar issue happen where an independent on my borders was being sieged. It lasted the entire rest of the game (about 200 turns). The AI kept adding troops to the siege but never resolving it. The worst is that the battle slightly overlapped my territory and some resource nodes, which were then locked and unimprovable for the whole game. If you have an army in the battle area when it starts but you are "not involved" then they are also trapped there for eternity.

I'll see if I have a save to post it if they need it for a bug report, but the AI besieged a city as the Assyrians. When I won from completing the techtree and sending satellites, there they were, still besieging.

I had this happen. The siege lasted through the last 3 eras or so. Not sure what triggered it. The siege was happening when I attacked an entirely different city for the sieging city (vs an independent city).
