I understand that resources shouldn't be plentiful, but really, they're virtually nonexistent! I've tried multiple starts and discovered everywhere from absolutely no strategic resources at all up to a max of 1 horse or 1 copper. I searched far and wide and there's nothing to be found. Sometimes there have been future resources, but they do me no good in the ancient era when spearmen and many emblematic units rely on copper and horses. It shackles you right from the start and limits your choices.
