Me: Good game. Super interesting. One of the affinities is unfinished, meanwhile...

(LOATHING VOICE)

RDR: Yeah, the ability to steal pops under the guise of basically "immigration" without considering other factors is 100% not great.

Me: okay I have sat here for maybe 2 more hours than I was planning to while this war wages. It's almost more expanionist than stealing a city center.

RDR: Certainly makes me as mad. There's no red tape on pop steal, just pay a lump sum of influence and they're yours. Like, it would be more balanced if some of the red tape from Expansionist's was here (Agrarians) cannot steal population from territories belonging to allies. Boom, instantly way better.

Me: Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. That'd be a lot better.
Me: They couldn't even find a way to implement "this captured city counts for my territory total" ? Like I'd have been pretty pleased to get 2 more stars out of that war with the winning faction as expansionist Poles.  I mean okay I'm pretty sure I am not catching up tot the 11.1k leader in fame. But like I'd be much more clearly the 2nd place culture right now with (whatever the 1st to Tier 1 stars are worth). I don't think I would have quite gotten all three but... maybe I could have.

Or heck make it so that Expansionist cultures gain a bonus for being in an alliance. Each city of the faction their in an alliance with counts as an additional territory? Makes it a more interesting pivot that's for sure. And might create some interesting political plays.
