I started a war with the AI, took over a large portion of their cities and they ran out of war support.  I was forced into their surrender (which is a feature or failure, whatever your opinion is) and had several of my units behind in the cities I couldn't grab with my war score.  My units became stuck behind "enemy lines".  I couldn't move them at all, not one space.  It kept highlighting in red, that I would have to declare war on said AI, but because my war support was now zeroed, I had no options other than skip turn on those units, while losing 10 health per turn because they were no longer supplied.  Is this intentional?

If you are talking about trespassing units, just drag there movement until it reaches your land and it will work.  So your units can end there turn in an enemy land, but it must be on its way out of its land....does that make sense?

Ok, I can't get a quote in here to work.  Maybe I'm just stupid.  Slo, I understand what you're saying and I tried that.  I tried to drag the line to many destinations, to coastal water outside of the AI's boundaries, to my own cities that I owned prior to the war and those which I kept after their surrender.  None of those worked.  I appreciate the response though.  It must be a bug in my game.  Thanks!

Doesn't seem to work if you have to pass a long way through their territory. I started a game on a small map where all 4 players spawned on the same continent. Was only 8 territories to settle and I was stuck with one due to the AI being too quick. I had units on the other side of the continent who couldn't move back to my territory even when clicking through to my territory.

Sometimes it doesn't work because something is blocking the only path you can go. Try again next turn or do an open border agreement with the enemy or the other closes civ to your unit.

But in the aftermath of war, it doesn't make sense to suddenly have closed border. The dev need to make 1-2 turn of open border so the corresponding units can fall back to owned territory.
