I really like that Amplitude gives us fog, algae, and turbulent water. But in its current state, it's very hard to see. In the strategic sketched map, it's perfectly good. But in graphical map, it's really hard to see from far away.


Also, isn't in Endless Legend, the weather is dynamics? I thought the fogs was going to move somewhere but they stay the same place after a lot of turns.


And I'd like to incorporate these things in naval combat too (not just fog), just like EL. Maybe turbulent waters give penalty to combat strength like rivers. Or have storms that inflicts damage to ships, inside and outside combat.

I'd love to see some more love given to combat area in naval engagements, as they are right now, they're pretty static affairs, you don't really need to move, because everyone's fighting at range, you just slowly creep toward your enemy, so that every ship has a maximized bonus from adjacent friendly units.


And we definitely need some unit speed tweaking for naval units, as it is right now, unless you chose specific culture or build the Lighthouse, naval battles are almost impossible if one side doesn't want to do it. If they retreat then you can kiss that fleet goodbye, unless you had another navy waiting for them roughly in the area they fled to.
