The reason I was excited for this game over Civ 6 was twofold. 1. The ability to create your own unique civilization via the blending of historical civilizations. I thought that was pretty neat.

2. The ability to create your own unique leaders. 

#2 is where I am really disappointed. It does not seem that I can actually name a leader. Why not? Is their name my user name? What if I don't want to make a male leader with the name of Alexandria? If there is a way to give my Leader a unique name I would really appreciate someone letting me know how.

Secondly, while I like the overall art style, the hair is pretty horrible. It seems extremely amateurish and is, for the most part, pretty darned ugly. Also, can we talk about the noses? Why are the vast majority of them truly awful for women? Maybe I just need a lot more practice but right now for the life of me I can't seem to create a female face I find attractive.

Lastly the ability to change the costume colors is laughable. You can only change one small part of each costume making customization a joke.

I REALLY hope this improves as it's a pretty terrible first impression.

Seconding on the leader names. I would prefer not to have my avatar be my screen name, nor do I want other people's avatars to go by screen name either. I feel like it takes me out of the Humankind journey, because its not me leading the civilization, its MorshuHimself. 

No one else wants to be able to name their leaders?

I just want some more hair options. Couldn't find anything suiting for me.

Yeah, I'd love if we were given ability to name our personas.

I don't mind the cosmetics choice we had, but that's probably cause I found a close enough approximation of the persona I wanted to make. Adding more variety hopefully shouldn't be that hard to make. Choice being restricted to accent colour for the costumes is probably due to the fact that most of them are based on traditional clothing with specific designs (and to hide that many of them utilize whole chunks of each other, just recoloured).

The abilities to name them and make more than one please. I understand that "my" persona is supposed to take form from simply playing the game. The game judges my playstyle and unlocks traits that are in line with that playstyle. That this feature is solely a means to share these personas, but this is it's biggest issue. It can be both. Let us make an army of them locally and restrict uploads to our "main" if that's the underlying issue. Congestion.

Adding my voice to this. I really don't want my leader's name to be stuck as my Steam username.

Be able to make multiple avatars to play against in our own games, as of now, we can only make 1 leader that only other players can play against.

Am I the only one whom wants more choice in body shape/sizes? All I ask for is a Hight slider and some body options, would prefer body slider/triangles like shape( hourglass/pear/trapezoid), muscle(tone/curvy/weak), and slimness(slim/fat/Muscle bulk). I would be fine with hard choices instead.

 While I'm here can we have some voice options, as it is right now everyone looks too similar and sounds exactly the same. It seems like all people talk about is names and # of leaders and no one ever talks about the shape and sound. well that is my  2 cents. judge my shit grammar on your own.
