So just wanted to check I haven't missed something here. In my playthrough, I've declared war on the Babylonians, started ransacking their stuff, then noticed their reinforcement army coming for me.
This army consists of 2 warriors units and 2 swordsmen units... the only problem is we're in the Ancient Era so they shouldn't have access iron, let alone swordsmen?
Double-checked research availabilities and era stars to make sure no one had moved up and unlocked that section of the tech tree.
Is it possible for them to get these units from curiosities/events so early on? Seems a bit overpowered considering their 29 combat strength.
Screenshot for reference: (also unsure if it's relevant but im playing on the Civilisation difficulty)
Babylonians are scientist and thus able to research an era ahead of their current era, so they can research classical era technologies such as standing army and thus be able to build iron mines and swordsmen in the ancient era.
