Personas do not seem to be as popular as intended

Half of if not most of the persona's in the G2G persona section don't even have traits, strengths or biases, something that was talked about quite highly in Humankind videos. I would like to know why a big part of the avatar creator is not being used.

My only real beef with this is we can't in game search and add them. A good assumption to popularity would likely be due to that as well but not like we really can say how utilized it's been or not we don't have that sort of info as the consumers.

Either way good QoL in future would be being able to atleast see friends avatars to add in game.

Some people just don't figure out the stat part of the character creator. I've had multiple conversations with people here explaining it and how to do it. They usually then add some. For the players that never do though, its not something they really notice as these stats are only used when someone else is using your avatar. Basically easy for a lot of people to overlook.

Another problem is that the traits are tied to trophies that players need to earn, in order to unlock respective traits. Some of those trophies are kind of awkward to get or take a long time. The trophy that requires a single unit to get a kill streak of up to 50(!) units for example seems fairly difficult. I got Militant on my persona, but I basically had to cheat the system by putting me and 1 other AI on a tiny map, and I didn't change the map type, so the two of us were on separate continents each time.

So you have to do difficult trophies in order to unlock something that only other players get to experience. That seems like a crap trophy.

Eh, I don't know, on one hand it does seem a bit weird, on the other, wanting to tailor the persona in specific way makes me think on how to play the game the way I don't do it usually to get trophies. Would be a lot cooler if we had limited slots for our own AI personas, so that we could actually test and name our creations before sending them off to others. I got attached to the one I have currently, but she's pretty much finished, so it would be great to be able to save her and come up with someone new.

Lets say all players don't always care about their personas being used by other players (especially solo player like me, I guess), or they are not even "aware" of that because they didn't click a "publish" button to have their AI shared.

The system is cool, but the auto-sharing fills the G2G persona section with half finished AI, simple default skins with no traits, etc. And what if you change your skin in each game, to match the culture you want to play? It is what I do, and I don't even know the the persona is updated on G2G. I would rather "commit" the change when I decide, if it was possible.

As I said in another topic, I think some players would prefer the possibility to create (multiple) skins and AI not linked to their name, and to give them names and look that matches a goal, like doing historical characters, TV show characters, or just create villains they want to fight and maybe share.

Also, I don't think there are reward, stats, or other interactions that let people know if other players fight against their AI, etc. So no... "Game play" reason to do that.

I am sure with some tweaks, that will a feature more people will use in the future :) But I really recommend to make it "opt-in", let people publish their persona only if they want. Quality other quantity, to make personas more attractive...

For me, the most exciting idea regarding AI personas is to put them on a map, become an observer, and then just watch them duke it out.

That'd be similar to the auto-play sessions for Civ5 that ppl used to start and narrate, but it'd also be similar to the Smash Amiibo tourneys, which were a fun novelty.

Wel, yes, It is, development is not that easy. But still, I would appreciate if this is possible and if they do that in the future. I don't think that would be a priority though.

Well, multiple avatars per profile is something that gained traction even before the release and back then we got confirmed by the devs that it won't be something available in the game, but they're looking into it. Getting all the systems to work as they should is a top priority for now, of course, and we don't have any word that it would eventually make it in, but at the very least we know that the team sees us.

Being able to randomize the character traits on loading a new game would be a great addition.

A  BIG part of the issue with the personas is that half the time for me they don't load, or when I close and re-load the game their image is replaced by some default figure (traits remain the same)

And if you have your avatar shared and change it, those traits / appearance  DO show up in the site.
