I don't know if this music is a tribute or if it existed before it was coded for Darklands, but either way I can't think it's not a form of tribute to that incredible game. Is there a way to find this piece somewhere, as a file for instance? This version is very nice.

Darklands, 1992?! Maybe you speak about another, unless you are an adlib fan too^^

Yes, you can buy the soundtrack on steam, or find it in your game folders, in the "Soundtrack" folder.

For Flac etc, you can take a look at Arnaud Roy, the Amplitude composer, bandcamp:

(I recommend listening Endless Space 2 soundtrack, one of my favorite of the composer ;) )

Edit, if you are interested in the 8h complete OST, browse the others album in the same Bandcamp

Thank you Globule, yes, that Darklands. I did buy the soundtrack and tried to find this music but I couldn't grab an ear on it, unfortunately.

EDIT: it is the Inn 2 music here.

Wow, I was not the only one noticing!!

Kudos.

I would assume it is based on some kind of traditional english folk  song or something? And not really a homage to Darklands, or is it really?

PS: Seems to not be part of the soundtrack :(

What a shame

It would be a Saxon more than English, not to say a real German from the Holy Roman Empire song, considering where Darklands takes place. I don't know.

End of the story: maybe a tribute, but probably not. Origin here, F section, "mit ganczem Willem", 15th century.
