Not getting into all the things that need fixed. Already did that on the forums here. Made my contributions. I've had the game shelved since about a week after launch. Just wondering if there was any expected timeframe for a major patch to fix any of the issues the community has mentioned?

Depends on which issues you mean, current beta patch was fully released just last night.

I read somewhere that they plan to release a first balance patch with some other things at the end of this month.

Not sure if a beta will be available before that again (I hope so :)).

So far, they've been announced in sticky threads on the bug report forum.

Have they even acknowledge that the game is unplayable for people I get the same can't end a turn eventually in every game I play it's pretty frustrating. I think the game is great but I have never made it to any later then the middle ages

Probably, but I don't know when, I would maybe take a guess like next week, but if they plan something bigger this time it may obviously take longer.
