My ally settled near me but couldnt keep down their rabblerousers and suddenly their rebels were running around my empire. My army was on the other side of the continent so I began marching them over to the trouble. Before I could get there the rebels took my capital and then immediately my ally began to besiege my occupied capital with a tiny force.
But now I've arrived with my massive army and I cannot seem to figure out how to add my units to my allies siege or otherwise take my city back? Do I seriously have to wait politely in line to take my capital back? or am I missing some mechanic that makes this not a ballbusting oversight?
My last endless playthrough ended because i chose Machu Pichu on a map that turned out to have 0 mountains anywhere. That meant I could never build it and therefore could never select another wonder for the rest of the game. Now my playthrough is over because my massive army is too polite to ask my allies 3 peasants to leave the besieging to the professionals. This game is so close to being good, but right now it's just a punch in the balls.
Allied sieging mechanics seem to be a mess in this game. 3 months ago someone posted this thread about how they couldn't come to the assistance of a besieged ally, which is basically your scenario but inverted.
